For starters I run a state licensed home daycare. This means I have a cleared background check with the state of California and the Department of Justice. I am CPR and First-Aid certified for infant, child and adult ages. Professionally I have my Associates Degree of Science in Early Childhood Education and over 15 years professional experience working in licensed childcare facilities and as a professional nanny and tutor. I have extensive teaching experience in a preschool classroom, an infant room and a toddler classroom. I also have a great deal of experience working with school age children. Personally, I have over 10 years’ worth of volunteer service at our local little league here in San Diego where I coached and ran the concessions stand as well as back home in Washington where I coached girls’ softball ages 7-9 and helped to run the concessions. I am also a Mom to two wonderful children who are currently 7 and 5 which means I have plenty of personal experience. 

Along with all of this I continue with my education by taking online courses and seminars whenever I can to keep current with childcare and children.

If the holiday falls on a weekend the holiday will be observed on the week day nearest. Holidays that fall on a Saturday will be observed on the Friday before and holidays that fall on a Sunday will be observed on the following Monday.

YES! Tuition is due in full even when your child is not here. I give all families ONE WEEK of free childcare to use each calendar year. These days may be used together or separate. I require 2 weeks’ notice if you decide to use the credit all at once. 

The late fee is $2.00 per minute up to the first 20 minutes per day. If you are later than 20 minutes the fee will automatically go to a flat late pick up fee of $100 for that day.

Tuition payments are due in full on Friday evening before the close of business (by 5PM) for the upcoming program week. Families may pay weekly or biweekly. 

There will be days when children have a difficult time saying goodbye in the morning. When this occurs, it is more beneficial to them if you say a quick goodbye, remind them you will be back and then leave quickly. Often times the longer the parent stays the more worked up the child will get. Please know that I will do everything I can to help make drop offs go smooth and when/if your child has a difficult time.

Yes, I do. When my daycare needs to transport children in a motor vehicle for any reason all children will be seated and buckled in appropriate car safety seats. These seats will be used in accordance with State Law and the manufacturers warranty on each individual car seat. All children under the age of 2 years will be rear facing. My daycare will provide an age and weight appropriate, clean, safe car seat for each child who needs transportation. Car seats will be purchased by Learn and Grow Family Childcare and will be kept at my daycare at all times. No child will ever ride in a car seat that is expired, unsafe or has been in an accident.
