About Us
Owned and Operated by Danielle
Learn and Grow Family Child Care is owned and operated by me, Danielle. I have been working in childcare for over 15 years and I love everything about it. Before opening my own home daycare I worked as a lead preschool teacher and as a lead teacher in a one year old classroom. I have also spent years working in infant and school age classrooms. I have years of experience working with children ages birth through 12 years. I also spent time as a volunteer little league softball coach, baseball coach and Team Mom and local little league board member.
I have my Associates Degree of Science in Early Childhood Education and I am fully qualified in California to be an early childhood educator. I am CPR and First-aid certified and have taken all the necessary classes for my career. I enjoy taking childcare courses whenever possible to keep current with childcare and everything related to children.
I run my daycare like a home, however we do still incorporate curriculum into our daily routine. I use proven teaching strategies to work with every child on an individual level in order to help them to become the best person they can be. While in daycare your child will be able to learn, play and grow just as they would at home. We focus on learning through play with curriculum worked into the schedule throughout the day. We spend a lot of out time outside. We do arts and crafts, manipulatives, preschool prep and kindergarten readiness, as well as math, science, literacy and many other wonderful learning opportunities. While at daycare your child will have daily activities that help them to work on a number of skills. A few of these include gross and fine motor skills, social and emotional skills, sensory, language development.
I strive to keep an open line of communication with my families at all times. I find that this is key to a successful relationship with the families.

I offer both full-time and part-time options for families.

Meet Danielle
I am a Navy spouse originally from Washington State. My husband and I have been living in San Diego for over 10 years and we love it. We have three wonderful children together. We are a very active family and we love spending time outdoors enjoying all San Diego has to offer. We spend a lot of our weekends at SeaWorld, the zoo, Knott's Berry Farm, the beach and our local little league working to help improve the league and coaching our boys. We are very involved in our local little league and love watching out boys play baseball.
We are a pet friendly home!
My childcare home is a pet friendly home. We currently have 3 cats, 2 dogs and 2 guinea pigs. All of are animals have been raised around young children since they were babies. They are all friendly, calm, patient and have been trained how to interact with children.
